O’Brien’s Pharmacy Group provide pharmacy services to the people of Fleetwood, Thornton-Cleveleys, Bispham, Burscough, Liverpool and the surrounding areas. They provide personalised, tailored pharmaceutical care to the people who use their pharmacies and dispense both medicines and healthcare advice and offer a range of other clinical services.
O’Brien’s pharmacy group were looking for a telecommunication solution which would reduce their costs, simplify their phone systems and have improved functionality and management tools. Additionally, they wanted to simplify the equipment which they had to manage in HQ and pharmacies. Their costs were high for their existing solution including on-site telephone system lease rentals, ISDN and PSTN line rentals, call charges and costs for maintenance of the phone systems.
One challenge we faced was the risk of downtime. Tech advance had to ensure that the calls faced as little interruption as possible as important calls could be missed if not handled correctly. We also needed to ensure any complications with the changes were handled quickly and efficiently.
O’Brien’s pharmacy group wanted a completely managed service migration for all sites, including Internet connectivity and telephony. We had several meetings, project management and pre-installation calls which took place to ensure the project was a success.
Tech Advance advised O’Brien’s to install upgraded broadband and to move their products away from PSTN and FTTC, combined with a new cloud-based telephony platform supporting all their sites.
This solution would meet their needs as their cost savings estimated were more than £9k per year. They were provided with new cordless handsets in the pharmacies, and overall the new solution has improved reliance and recovery, with improved management, and administration tools.
O’Brien’s was happy to go ahead with the installation with all recommendations which we had provided to them. The project began to take place in March 2022 but due to existing contracts with other suppliers, however, the installation was completed in April 2022. We found working with O’Brien’s a pleasure and everything went very smoothly with this project rollout.
